It’s expected to be positioned above the Ather 450 S base variant, priced above Rs 1,10,000 and below the Rs 1,30,000 range.

Ather Energy, positioned as the third-largest electric two-wheeler original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in India, boasting a substantial 12% market share, is gearing up to launch its latest offering, the Family Scooter Rizta, during its upcoming Community Day celebration.

Anticipated to occupy a position above its base variant, the Ather 450 S, priced around the Rs 1,10,000 mark and below the Rs 1,30,000 price bracket, insiders familiar with the company have revealed. Tarun Mehta, the Co-Founder and CEO of Ather Energy, chose the microblogging platform X to unveil the scooter’s name, “Rizta,” emphasizing its family-oriented design. This new addition to the electric vehicle (EV) lineup is strategically aimed at expanding the company’s reach, entering into competition with models such as the TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1 Pro, and Bajaj Chetak in the sub-Rs 1.3 lakh category, leveraging benefits from the FAME 2 subsidy.

Rizta will also continue to maintain the same quality and reliability that Ather’s other products are known for. We will be unveiling ‘Ather Rizta’ at ACDC 24—Ather Community Day Celebration 2024.”

The introduction of Ather Rizta is expected to generate significant interest among electric vehicle enthusiasts and families alike. Mehta teased the vehicle’s release on X, leaving enthusiasts eager for more updates as Ather Energy gears up for an electrifying 2024, although an exact launch date remains undisclosed.

Ather recently introduced the 450X Apex, which is priced At Rs 1.89 Lakh, accompanied by a battery warranty of 5 years or 60,000 kilometres and includes free Ather Connect for three years.
