Crompton Greaves Starts Kitchen Appliance Manufacturing In Vadodara

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. (Crompton), an Indian consumer electrical company, started manufacturing and assembly operations of its built-in kitchen appliances at its Vadodara facility. The facility, located on 23 acres, enhances Crompton’s commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative. It enables the company to more efficiently deliver its products to consumers, in line with its strategy to invest in a strong manufacturing base to enhance quality and operational efficiency. The facility features advanced capabilities and digital processes that optimize efficiency and quality. 

The new assembly line is designed to switch operations quickly, reducing downtime. It includes an advanced assembly process, mistake-proofing measures, and automated inspection systems to maintain high quality standards.The manufacturing setup was introduced in the presence of the Board of Directors and leadership team in Vadodara, Gujarat. At the inauguration, Mr. Promeet Ghosh, MD & CEO, remarked, “The kitchen is crucial for the company and will drive our future growth. The Vadodara setup will enhance our ability to offer high-quality ‘made in India’ products. We aim to innovate, achieve manufacturing excellence, and ensure customer satisfaction, and we believe this facility will be key by offering new-age kitchen appliances with excellent quality and finesse.”

Mr. Pravin Saraf, Head – Manufacturing, Planning & Logistics, expressed excitement about the new manufacturing line, which boosts production capabilities and reaffirms the company’s dedication to quality and innovation. The use of advanced technologies underlines Crompton’s commitment to high-quality kitchen appliances.
