Monday, September 16, 2013: Solar seems to be gaining the much-desired momentum in the country now. In the latest development, steel-based engineering company, Pennar Industry, has showcased its latest range of solar PV mounting solutions. The company had showcased its products at the seventh Renewable Energy India Expo, organised at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, from 12 September.
The firm is already manufacturing a wide variety of solar sections, with varying sectional dimensions and thickness. As on date, Pennar’s solar structure and structural component manufacturing capacity stands at 5000 tonnes a month, which amounts to about 70-80 MW worth of solar structures.
According to a report from Business Line, Suhas Baxi, chief executive officer, Pennar Industy, said, “The expo provided the firm a platform to exhibit its products. It has supplied mounting structures and components to various solar units, totalling over 400 MW so far.” He was speaking at the expo.
