The TXT Bharat, in conjunction with the IDC5 software interface, is designed to serve a range of vehicles in India, including trucks, buses, light commercial vehicles (LCVs), and off-highway vehicles that comply with BS-III, BS-IV, and BS-VI emission standards.

Italy’s Texa, a firm dedicated to designing, industrializing, and producing diagnostic tools, vehicle tele-diagnostic devices, and exhaust gas analyzers for cars, motorcycles, trucks, and agricultural vehicles, has launched its latest diagnostic tool, the Texa TXT Bharat, in the Indian market.

Priced at approximately Rs 195,000 in India’s aftermarket, this multi-brand vehicle diagnostic tool, along with its software interface IDC5 Bharat, targets the commercial vehicle segment. The launch is in partnership with Bengaluru-based Madhus Garage Equipment, a provider of vehicle servicing solutions in India.

Texa reports that the TXT Bharat was crafted with extensive R&D, drawing on the company’s vast experience of over thirty years in the automotive industry. The tool, together with the IDC5 Bharat software, enables mechanics to service a broad range of commercial vehicles that comply with BS-III, BS-IV, and BS-VI emission standards on Indian roads.

Designed specifically for trucks, buses, light commercial, and off-highway vehicles, the next-generation interface of TXT Bharat boasts advanced technical and constructive features. The company notes that its processor is quicker and more potent, ensuring accurate data processing from the vehicle’s control units. The tool features the latest Bluetooth technology and a USB-C port for rapid connection and efficient data transfer, enhanced by new RGB LEDs for improved usability.

The TXT Bharat’s hardware is compatible with all current protocols and includes a 16-pin CPC connector for quick connection to the vehicle’s OBD socket, facilitating the use of all specific diagnostic cables for the off-highway environment. It supports vehicle diagnosis at 12V or 24V and can record diagnostic sessions during driving.

The IDC5 Bharat software, serving as the core of the TXT Bharat hardware, leads the repair technician through all stages of the repair process, from detecting errors to resolving them in a practical and safe manner. The software undergoes monthly updates to enhance its diagnostic capabilities with new technical information and electrical diagrams for various brands and models, aiding repair professionals in their daily tasks.

Additionally, the software interface offers exclusive functions and technical documentation that expand beyond traditional diagnostic concepts, including dashboards, interactive electrical diagrams, guided diagnosis, technical bulletins, mechanical data, and troubleshooting support.

David Meneghetti, Product Manager at Texa, emphasized that extensive study and field testing in India have shaped a solution ideally suited to the needs of local mechanics, fleets, and the burgeoning multi-brand culture, enabling them to repair vehicles equipped with the latest technologies.

Nikhil B, Deputy Managing Director at Madhus Garage Equipment, expressed enthusiasm for entering this new sector with Texa, noting that the company’s dedicated development efforts have resulted in a product well-adapted to Indian vehicles and pricing expectations.
