Middle East second largest customer for India’s electronics exports

According to data available with the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion (ESC), Middle East countries have become the second top destination for India’s electronics hardware exports during the year 2011-12.

Exports to Middle East during 2011-12 are valued at US$ 1.83 billion, registering a growth of 52 per cent when compared to US$ 1,274 billion in 2010-11. In order to tap the potential of the Middle East market, ESC is taking a contingent of 40 companies to Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (Gitex). This will give Indian IT companies excellent opportunities to explore the market.
