Domestic EDMS company Virtual Forest has announced that it has entered into a long term partnership with Israel’s Redler Technologies. Redler Technologies specializes in electrical power and motion management solutions for the automotive and defence industries.

The goal of this strategic collaboration is to boost the nascent EV industry in India and SouthEast Asia through the domestic development and manufacture of motor control drives, the company said in a release.

“Virtual Forest, with its expertise in Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (EDSM), coupled with Redler Technologies’ patented platforms for EV motor control will help enable the burgeoning domestic electric vehicle manufacturing industry by providing local development, integration and support along with a large scale manufacturing footprint,” it further added.

Omer Basith, CEO & Co-founder, Virtual Forest said, “We believe that it is imperative that we play our part in the electrification of transportation. This partnership is a big step in our journey to achieving this vision. The domestic market opportunity for motor controllers (for 2 and 3 wheelers) in 2021 is projected at 8.33 million dollars. Conservative estimates project a 3000 percent growth creating a 267.24 million dollar opportunity by 2025.

This industry is currently in its infancy the absence of domestic design and production capacity have led to a complete dependence on imports. Redler’s motor control platform, coupled with our integration support for final product development, will be pivotal in addressing these gaps and will help establish a robust domestic manufacturing ecosystem for motor controllers. Special thanks must go to Precog Innovations, who facilitated this association and supported us throughout the process.”

Guy Natesan, CEO, Redler Technologies said, “Redler Technologies anticipates vast opportunities in the micro EV market in Indian & South-East Asian markets. Thanks to our partnership with Virtual Forest, we hope to provide a solid ground for more opportunities to come. Our state-of-the-art motion solutions and patented technology will take the micro EV market propulsion into a future of new possibilities. We anticipate positive reception for our cost-effective design that meets global automotive quality standards.”
