The Volkswagen brand’s ID.4, their inaugural all-electric compact SUV, is manufactured and available for purchase in China, the USA, and Europe.

Siemens is advancing its sustainability strategy by setting targets for fleet electrification, aiming for a completely CO2-neutral and all-electric fleet by 2030.

Volkswagen Financial Services is playing a key role in this transformation by providing Siemens AG’s fleet with Volkswagen vehicles. They plan to progressively add up to 1,000 Volkswagen ID.4 electric vehicles through leasing. These vehicles are integral to Siemens’ commitment to electrification and sustainability.

Armin Villinger, Chairman of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH, emphasizes the significance of electrifying company and public authority fleets for the growth of e-mobility. He notes the increasing trend of fleet managers adopting electric service vehicles, showcasing the practicality of electric mobility for everyday use.

The Volkswagen ID.4, the brand’s first all-electric compact SUV, is available in China, the USA, and Europe. Its design, based on Volkswagen’s Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB), offers a spacious interior, strong driving performance, and impressive ranges of up to 512 km or 531 km (WLTP cycle). The vehicle’s fast-charging capability of up to 135 kW is ideal for long-distance travel.

Achim Schaible, Chairman of Volkswagen Germany, highlights the significance of fleet customers to Volkswagen and expresses enthusiasm for continuing the partnership with Siemens in the realm of electromobility.

Stefan Kurz, Head of Global Fleet Management at Siemens, views the electrification of their fleet as a commitment to achieving climate goals and leading the industry in sustainable fleet management. He cites the choice of the Volkswagen ID.4 for its balance of range, charging speed, trunk volume, and price, aligning with Siemens’ DEGREE framework for sustainability.
