Xiaomi Joins the Elite Club

The Chinese brand crosses the 500-million smartphone installed base mark, joining Samsung and Apple.


Xiaomi has moved on to the premium market from being known as a regional budget smartphone. 

The brand hasn’t effectively monetized traffic or cross-sold IoT devices in many regions as it has done in China, however it has successfully entered many regional markets globally. 

As per a report, Xiaomi can benefit from better brand recognition, monetizing traffic and cross-selling IoT products.
