Optoma Launches Eco-Friendly Laser Projectors

Optoma, a leading designer of display products, recently launched its eco-friendly laser projectors for the Indian market. It is learnt that Optoma’s new range of projectors ZX350e, ZW350e, ZH350, AZX360ST, AZW360ST & AZH360ST have been designed keeping in mind environmental friendliness. The company claims that its energy-saving, mercury free and economical projectors have lower carbon footprints as compared to other brands available in the market.

With the future-proofed laser technology and higher power conversion efficiency, the company noted, these projectors can save around half the power consumption as compared with the lamp-based projectors and help in reducing the carbon footprint for long-term usage than lamp-based projectors.

The official release pointed out that its maintenance-free laser projectors have a longer lifespan than traditional lamp-based projectors, and avoid mercury pollution as well. Due to its dedicated efforts to minimizing the product size, there has been a 34% reduction in size as compared to the previous generation of projectors, making them more compact. It is expected to reduce packaging waste while making its transportation efficient. It is noteworthy that these projectors will be available countrywide from next month, with the price range starting from Rs. 72,000.

Vijay Sharma, Country Head – India, Optoma Corporation, remarked, “We at Optoma are committed to upgrading and adopting new technology for a better user experience. With this commitment, we have introduced the next generation of our projectors which will save up to 47% power consumption and help in reducing around 1265Kg CO2 during the life span of a projector. We have introduced our new eco-friendly Laser projector series which is specially made for environmental sustainability. We hope to transition the complete lineup to laser projectors from traditional projectors in the coming year.”
