ELCINA has Appointed a New Executive Committee for 2020-21

  • Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA) at its 52nd Annual General Meeting held on 25th September 2020 has appointed the members of the Executive Committee
  • The New Delhi based company appointed Mr. Paresh Vasani as the President for 2020-21 session

ELCINA was established in 1967 as the first industry association supporting electronics hardware, when India’s Electronics industry was still in its infancy. Since then, ELCINA has established itself as an interactive forum for electronics and IT manufacturers. ELCINA actively interacts with the government and advises it on policy and business environment issues. It networks with technical institutions and business support organisations in India and abroad to enable business expansion and information dissemination on technical developments.

With greater liberalisation, ELCINA’s focus has shifted to professional and value-added services to the Electronics Community. While ELCINA’s focus was originally on promotion of manufacturing components – the building blocks of the industry, ELCINA, now renamed as Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), has widened its horizons and broadened its activities to include the development of entire Electronics and IT Hardware.

Mr Paresh Vasani, MD, Circuit Systems India Ltd & CEO, PCB Power as President for 2020-21

Mr. Vasani is an entrepreneur par excellence and established Circuit Systems (India) Limited (CSIL), a leading manufacturer of printed circuit boards having state-of-art manufacturing facilities at Gandhinagar (India). The company has established itself as PCB, PCBA, Component Sourcing and as an end to end solution provider.

With CSIL as the holding company, Mr Vasani established PCB POWER for all of the marketing and ecommerce activities of the Group. PCB POWER is working in prototype and small volume production with delivery terms as short as only one day, while CSIL focuses on volume business. PCB POWER Inc, USA, is a prototype manufacturing facility and focusing on high technology aerospace and defense industries in addition to the industrial electronics industry in the USA.

Mr. Vasani is also a mentor to CIIE (Center for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship) of IIM A. He is a chartered member and on board of governing council of TiE Ahmedabad Chapter. He has also been President of IPCA. Mr Vasani takes over the reins from Mr Amrit Manwani, CMD, Sahasra Group.

Mr. Sanjay Agarwal (Sr. VP), MD, Globe Capacitors Ltd., Faridabad

Mr. Sanjay Agarwal is Managing Director of Globe Capacitors Limited Faridabad. He has 31 years of experience in Capacitors Industry. He has completed BE (E&E) from MIT Manipal in the year 1988. He was vast experience in international markets like North Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Far East.

Under his leadership the Company expanded from a mere capacitor company to a world class recognised player in Appliance industry. The company has won several awards in the category of Exports & Business Excellence. It was his brainchild that Globe did a vertical expansion and launched a new company Super Electro Films Limited in which Metallised PP Film for Capacitors is made. This company is again renowned throughout the world for Quality and integrity.

Globe Capacitors is the largest Appliance capacitor producer in India and is strategic supplier to nearly all the MNCs present in India. Apart from catering to the Indian market Globe exports to North Americas, Middle east, South America, Europe and far east. The company products are UL listed and CB certified by TUV. The factories are ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.

Mr. Vijay Gujarathi (VP), COO & Director, EOS Power India Ltd., Mumbai

Mr. Vijay Gujarathi is Mechanical and Industrial Engineer from Mumbai University and has completed management studies from Welingkar Institute of management and ISB Hyderabad. He has over 25 Years of professional experience with EMS and ODM Companies like Celetronix, Jabil Circuits and EOS Power at various senior level management positions. Presently he is Whole Time Director and COO at EOS Power India Private limited. He is also one of the Founding Director of Ei EMS India Private limited, a start-up EMS Company in New Mumbai.

He has been executive committee member of ELCINA from 2014 and recently appointed as Chairman West. He is also Chairman for west Region for EPCES (Export promotion council for EOU’S and SEWs).

Mr. Sasikumar Gendham (Hony Secretary), MD, Salcomp Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd. Sriperumbudur

Mr. Sasikumar Gendham has over 16 years’ experience in Telecom & Manufacturing Industry, and he currently leads Salcomp’s India Operations. He joined Salcomp in 2007 from Tyco Electronics Corporation, and prior to that he had a long association with Hical Technologies, Bangalore.

He holds a Bachelor Degree in Production Engineering and an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Aalto University, Finland.

He was responsible for Sales & Marketing, and later Sourcing functions of the company, before he took charge as Head of India Operations. He has been instrumental in transforming Salcomp’s India Operations to a high performing unit within the group, and India operations has become a significant part of Salcomp’s global footprint.

Mr. Richard Puthota (Hony. Treasurer & Reg. Co-Chairman (South), Senior Director, MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, Chennai

Mr. Puthota has 30 years’ experience in the industry (PC Fab & Assembly in India / Overseas). Currently he is Director – Business Development & Tech Support and Responsible for Cookson’s (Alpha) business & Tech Support in Africa, India, Sri Lanka & Middle-East).
He undertakes process audits for OEMs, Train & Certify Engineers at customer locations.

The key segments handled by Mr. Puthota are Consumer, Telecom, Automotive, Lighting, Industrial, Defence & Aerospace.

Mr. Puthota an IIM Bangalore Alumni, is a graduate in Chemical Technology and holds PG Diploma in Applied Chemistry. He is also a Certified IPC-610 Trainer and a Six Sigma – GB

Dr. Ashwini Aggarwal (Reg. Chairman (North), Director, Applied Materials India Pvt.Ltd., Faridabad

Dr Ashwini is an industry veteran with 30+ years in the Industry including 18 years in Hewlett-Packard; has rich and diverse experience in handling Enterprise and Government segment for the tech intensive ESDM sector. Ashwini is well known in the industry for his creative and breakthrough market development initiatives and has been the co-chair/Executive Committee member for key committees in IESA, ESSC, USISPF, CII, FICCI, ELCINA & IEEMA.

Dr. Ashwini (Ashwini) Aggarwal is Director -Government Affairs at Applied Materials India.

He is a Fellow of Institute of Electronics and Telecom Engineers, a M.Sc. in Physics and Electronics with distinction from St. Stephens College and a MBA from FMS, University of Delhi.

Mr. Gagan Bansal (Reg. Co-Chairman (North), VP – Sales, TDK India Pvt. Ltd., Noida

Mr. Gagan Bansal is a graduate in Electronics and Telecommunications and holds a Master degree in Business Administration. He has more than 24 years of experience in the Electronics Industry and has worked for brands like Siemens, EPCOS and TDK.

He is credited to have grown the business of TDK Electronics Components in India substantially in all application fields in the last few years.

TDK is a 13 billion dollar MNC in the sphere of passive electronic components, sensors, energy devices and magnetic materials that has wide ranging application in electrical and electronics industry. Mr. Gagan Bansal started as a graduate Trainee Engineer in this company and moving up the ranks, now holds the position of Vice President – sales and marketing – Industrial and Home appliances segment.

Mr. Bansal is associated with ELCINA for the last 8 years as an active member of the ELCINA Executive committee and has been a member of the Task force on Electronics Components Manufacturing for bringing attention to the long standing problem of in adequacy of investment and manufacturing capabilities in India.

Mr.Sunil Banwari (Reg Chairman South), MD & COO, AT&S India Private Limited, Nanjangud

Mr. Sunil Banwari is the Chief Operating Officer and MD of AT&S India Pvt. Ltd. He has 30 years of international leadership experience including 20 years in US and 10 years in Asia in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.

He has held positions of responsibility at Fortune 500 companies like Intel, ON Semiconductor (7yrs), Smiths Interconnect and Neotech EMS. He has the unique distinction of being multi-lingual and knows English, Hindi, Japanese, and Spanish and beginner German/Mandarin. Sunil is a Masters in Science and Business Administration.

Mr. Anuraag Dhoot (Reg. Chairman West), MD, Epitome Components Limited, Ahmednagar

Mr Dhoot is the Founder and Managing Director of Epitome Components Pvt. Ltd. A manufacturer of bare Printed Circuit Boards ( PCBs). Since inception Epitome has grown consistently and now ranks no. 2 in India. State of the art facilities, continuous investments in the business and a flexible customer centric approach has made this possible even in the face of intense price competition from imports.

Mr. Dhoot has been actively engaged in promotion of Electronics manufacturing through ELCINA and IPCA, and has been Invited by MEITY in several policy level deliberations with Industry members.

Mr. Mitesh Lokwani (Reg. Co-Chairman (West), MD, HLBS Tech (P) Limited, Bhopal

Mr. Mitesh K. Lokwani, Managing Director of HLBS TECH (P) LTD, incorporated the company in 2004, December with the aim of developing a manufacturing unit of IT Products in INDIA. A small scale industry with over 50 employees. HLBS TECH(P) LTD. has made growth at a very rapid pace. HLBS is registered with Govt bodies eg DGS&D, DDGIT, BEL, HAL MPLUN, MPCCF, NCCF.
