Marelli Appoints Sherry Vasa As Chief Of The New People And Organisation Function

Marelli has announced the appointment of Sherry Vasa as EVP, Chief People and Organisation Officer. She spent over 20 years in a variety of leadership roles at Autoliv, where most recently she held the position of Executive Vice President, Human Resources, Sustainability & Corporate Communications.

Sherry Vasa said, “Marelli is on a journey towards building a new, leading global tier one supplier. To achieve these goals, the management team has outlined its clear commitment to developing a strong organizational culture that nurtures talented and motivated teams. This is a journey I am excited to be part of and I look forward to being part of the Marelli team.”

Incorporates HR to focus much more on people and teams

Within Marelli, Sherry will lead the newly created People and Organisation function. The company said that this new role incorporates HR to focus much more on people and teams as well as broader organizational development. It will play a principal role in building an organization that is centered around Marelli’s values and long-term goals.

It added, “Diversity and inclusion and Sustainability are just two of the Marelli core values that are critical for future success – both of which are areas that will fall within the new People and Organisation function’s role and responsibilities.”

Marelli CEO and President, Beda Bolzenius, said, “Sherry brings a wealth of experience in change management, talent development, operational efficiency and recruitment. With her proven track record in building and leading top-performing teams with a focus on culture, engagement, transparency and collaboration, she will play a critical role in the transformation of Marelli.”
