LED streetlights
In November 2013, Karvin Power Systems upgraded its series of LED streetlights, ranging from 12 W to 120 W. These offer several features, including an aluminium die-cast body with an IP-65 enclosure, an accurate light distribution design, high luminance, illuminance uniformity, a long life of up to 50,000 hours with a CRI>75, and a high quality driver with APFC>0.95 pf and THD<10 per cent. These lights are traditionally designed and integrated with LEDs and lenses.

Dimmable LED driver
In December 2013, Supertex introduced the PS30, a constant frequency (67 kHz), constant duty cycle LED driver optimised for dimmable offline LED bulb/tube applications, providing high power factor correction (PFC). The PS30 is intended to drive a single switch, single inductor power converter (flyback for isolated version and buck-boost for non-isolated version) directly from an AC line, 110 V or 220 V, for power levels up to 20 W. The PS30DB1 demo board provides a 6.3W design solution, achieving 93 per cent PFC and greater than 81 per cent efficiency with ±4 per cent current accuracy. It can be modified for other power levels up to 20 W. The PS30 offers smooth dimming to extinction for a wide variety of leading edge dimmers, trailing edge dimmers, and dimmers with microprocessor controls.
