High-speed arbitrary waveform generator

In December 2013, Agilent Technologies upgraded its M8190A by including streaming and multi-channel synchronisation functionality. For engineers working on applications like low-observable radar or high-density communications, the new functionality makes testing more realistic with long playtime and parallel signal generation for multi-emitter support. By combining the streaming functionality with the ability to synchronise up to 12 channels, the M8190A makes it easy for engineers to take simulation to the extreme. The M8190A now can generate waveforms while downloading new waveforms into memory, which overcomes previous AWG limitations and streamlines testing significantly. Before the addition of this new functionality, engineers could not change AWG signal waveforms at runtime.

Multi-function meter

single metersIn November 2013, Pyrotech Electronics upgraded its multi-function meter, the MFM101, which is specifically designed for measuring AC power line parameters like voltage, current, wattage, energy, power factor and frequency. This single unit can replace all the discrete single meters. Besides giving data on RS485/RS232 bus, this device also displays all parameters on a wide LCD display. The MFM can measure total harmonics distortion up to the 21st order. Its features include over 90 power and energy parameters, the modbus (RTU) communication protocol, a temperature range from 10º to 35°C, an LCD display with a white backlight, a wide power supply range, the capability to measure import and export energy and the total as well as net energy, and many more features.
