Waaree Energies And IRCON Renewable Power Unite To Drive India’s Clean Energy Transition

In a groundbreaking move within the renewable energy sector, Waaree Energies Limited announced a strategic partnership with IRCON Renewable Power Ltd. This collaboration aims to supply over 200 MW of DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) category solar PV modules, further bolstering India’s clean energy transition. IRCON Renewable Power Ltd., a subsidiary of the renowned public sector enterprise IRCON International Ltd., operates as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) dedicated to establishing a colossal 500 MW grid-connected solar PV project. This ambitious project was awarded by the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), solidifying India’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The solar PV modules provided by Waaree Energies Limited will be used in Pavagada, Karnataka, marking a significant stride in the nation’s renewable energy landscape.

Commenting on this landmark partnership, Sandesh Shetty, National Sales Head of Waaree Energies Ltd., expressed enthusiasm for the alignment of their mission with IRCON, stating, “Leveraging solar energy to propel India’s clean energy transition is a mission that we at Waaree share with IRCON.
