Tata Elxsi, a prominent provider of design and technology services, has recently inaugurated a new global design and engineering centre located at Sukhwani Business Hub, Chinchwad, Pune.
The new centre is purposefully designed to address the technological and digital transformation needs of major automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
It will accommodate more than 1000 engineers, designers, and technology experts, along with state-of-the-art laboratories, to lead joint efforts in engineering research and development in areas such as Software Defined Vehicles, Connected Services, Autonomous Technologies, Electrification, Mechatronics, and Design.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of key automotive customers and senior leaders of Tata Elxsi. Rajendra Petkar, President and CTO of Tata Motors, officially opened the centre. He praised Tata Elxsi for being a strategic partner to Tata Motors for more than two decades, collaborating on various programs such as Connected Vehicles, Digital, AUTOSAR, ADAS, Electrification, Mechanical Design, and Engineering. Petkar highlighted that the new centre’s proximity to Tata Motors’ Pune facility would enhance collaboration on emerging automotive technologies.
Manoj Raghavan, MD and CEO of Tata Elxsi emphasized the significance of Pune as a crucial hub for automotive technologies and manufacturing. He stated that the new centre would not only diversify and deepen Tata Elxsi’s talent base but also underscore the company’s commitment to supporting the growth of its automotive business and driving technological transformation in software, design, and digital for its key customers in the automotive sector.
