Samtec Announces Acquisition of Precision Connector Inc

The acquisition of PCI will further boost the RF portfolio of Samtec and accelerate Samtec’s developments into the precision RF industry

Samtec, Inc., a global manufacturer of a wide range of electronic interconnect solutions, has announced on Tuesday that it has acquired the assets and going-forward business relationship of Precision Connector, Inc., (PCI), which specialises in the design and manufacture of precision RF and microwave coaxial connectors.

How the acquisition will help Samtec?

PCI will bring vast experience of more than 25 years in the design of RF/Microwave segment to the Samtec team. The additional support in engineering and PCI’s product offerings of precision interconnects like 2.92 mm, 3.50 mm, SMP, 2.40 mm, 1.85 mm, SMPM and 1.0 mm, will further boost RF portfolio of Samtec and accelerate Samtec’s developments into the precision RF industry.

The operations of precision RF will continue to function at the PCI’s facility in Franklin, Indiana (US) but as Samtec’s division.

The company can offer support with launch designs, simulations, custom product solutions and physical test and measurement verifications.
