According to media reports, Samsung, has announced an additional investment of $70 million in India, tripling the manufacturing capabilities in its Noida facility. With this investment, the company will enhance its production capabilities of 16 different models of mobile phones from the existing 12 million units a year.
India is one of its largest R&D centres in the world. The company also develops software for smart phones at its Bangalore facility. This will provide jobs to 4,000 people.
