Ericsson Appoints Andres Vicente To Head India Oceania and South East Asia Market

With years of experience in leading marketing and sales, Andres Vicente will succeed Nunzio Mirtillo.

Swedish multinational networking and telecommunication company Ericsson has appointed Andres Vicente as the new Head of Market Area South East Asia, Oceania and India and Senior Vice President.

Mr Vicente has been serving as head of Ericsson’s customer unit Iberia within market area Europe & Latin America. He will now succeed Nunzio Mirtillo, with his retirement announced in October 2023. Mr. Vicente is set to assume his new role on May 1, 2024, and will be based in Singapore.

Bringing a wealth of experience from the telecommunications industry, Mr. Vicente joined Ericsson in 2021. He has a 25-year tenure at Vodafone, where he held various commercial roles, including leading marketing, sales, and different market segments.

Börje Ekholm, President and CEO of Ericsson, expressed his pleasure at Mr. Vicente’s acceptance of the role, highlighting his industry knowledge and deep understanding of commercial aspects as valuable assets for Ericsson’s continued success.

Expressing gratitude towards the appointment, Mr. Vicente said, “Market Area South East Asia, Oceania & India is an exciting growth region for Ericsson, and our team has strong execution abilities. I look forward to working alongside them and our customers to co-create innovations that will shape our industry and enable mutual success.”

Ericsson deals in infrastructure, software, and services in information and communications technology for telecommunications service providers and enterprises. It provides 3G, 4G, and 5G equipment, and Internet Protocol (IP) and optical transport systems.
