The EB zoneo GatewayCore is designed to connect hardware-dependent accelerators with the Classic AUTOSAR framework, providing adaptable support for intricate routing scenarios.

Elektrobit, a premier automotive software developer, has recently launched the EB zoneo GatewayCore, an innovative software solution designed to enhance and streamline the utilization of modern microcontrollers within automotive electrical/electronic architectures. This new product supports the Classic AUTOSAR standard and is specifically optimized for use with Infineon’s sophisticated AURIX™ TC4x microcontrollers.

The EB zoneo GatewayCore is crafted to effectively close the gap between hardware-dependent accelerators and the Classic AUTOSAR framework, providing versatile support for intricate routing scenarios. This enables notable enhancements in processing speed, reduced CPU utilization, and improved power efficiency for various automotive networking tasks.

By leveraging hardware accelerators from the Infineon AURIX TC4x series, the EB zoneo GatewayCore significantly enhances the speed of data routing operations such as CAN-to-CAN or CAN-to-IEEE1722, minimizing latency and unloading the CPU. This software diminishes the complexities, time, and expenses involved in setting up networking gateways, thereby enabling OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to use their resources more effectively.

The partnership with Infineon ensures that EB zoneo GatewayCore is ideally tailored to the capabilities of the AURIX TC4x microcontrollers, thus optimizing both performance and ease of integration. This collaboration highlights a mutual commitment to advancing automotive technologies, especially in the fields of eMobility, ADAS, and secure E/E architectures.

Lars Wemme, Vice President of ADAS, Chassis & EE-Architecture at Infineon, commented that the combination of EB zoneo GatewayCore and Infineon’s AURIX TC4x provides the robust solution OEMs require for developing cutting-edge in-vehicle networks.

Mike Robertson, Chief Product Officer and Managing Director at Elektrobit, emphasized the simplified integration process, stating that with EB zoneo GatewayCore and Infineon’s AURIX TC4x, the company is enhancing the ease with which carmakers can implement new vehicle functions demanding high-speed, reliable, and secure in-vehicle networks.

The debut of EB zoneo GatewayCore signifies a pivotal advancement in the development of more effective and sophisticated automotive network systems. As the industry progresses towards increasingly advanced electronic architectures, tools like the EB zoneo GatewayCore will be instrumental in facilitating the swift integration of new technologies and functionalities within the automotive sector.
