  • Under this collaboration, a hub containing 200 charging points will be established near Delhi Airport
  • While ATEL’s plan is to replicate the model nationwide, they will initiate the setup in Samalkha after Delhi

Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL) is joining forces with all-electric cab aggregator Prakriti E-Mobility (Evera), ATEL’s plan involves the establishment of a nationwide EV charging network.

The collaboration will commence with the establishment of a super hub in Delhi, featuring 200 EV charging points. With expansion plans reaching across the nation, the partnership aligns seamlessly with India’s goal of achieving a cleaner, carbon-pollution-free future by 2030.

ATEL, a division of Adani Total Gas Limited formed through collaboration between Adani Group and TotalEnergies, is dedicated to creating a distinctive electric vehicle (EV) charging system for both individuals and businesses. Fueled by the surging demand for EVs and the inadequate charging infrastructure in India, ATEL is partnering with Evera to strategically deploy charging stations in vital locations such as highways and workplaces, aiming to simplify and expedite the EV charging process through a variety of convenient charging options.

Suresh P Manglani, the CEO of ATGL, is excited about the prime location of the upcoming charging hub, which is conveniently situated near the Delhi International Airport. This not only highlights the commitment to eco-friendly transport but also marks a significant step towards strengthening India’s EV infrastructure. The hub, equipped with a versatile array of AC and DC chargers, will comprise around 200 charging points, offering accessible and efficient charging.

While initially introduced in New Delhi, this model is poised for nationwide replication, beginning with the establishment of charging stations in Samalkha, which will cater to both aggregators and individual EV owners.

Nimish Trivedi, the Co-Founder & CEO of Evera, is enthusiastic about the user-centric impact of this collaboration. With an eye on enhancing the experience for Evera’s cab drivers and electric vehicle owners, the partnership aims to alleviate concerns related to extended travel distances. The broader aspiration is to establish a resilient and sustainable mobility infrastructure, fostering the widespread adoption of electric vehicles among various stakeholders.

Although specific details about the total number of planned charging stations remain undisclosed, the imminent charging station in the capital holds the key to unlocking widespread EV adoption in India.
