MG Motor India Joins Forces With Shoonya To Drive EV Adoption And Sustainable Mobility

In a significant move towards promoting sustainable mobility and accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in India, MG Motor India, has joined forces with Shoonya, a Zero Pollution Mobility campaign led by NITI Aayog. Under this strategic partnership, MG Motor India is committed to actively participating in the Shoonya campaign, playing a pivotal role in advancing the electric vehicle domain within the country. The collaboration aims to harness the collective efforts of industry stakeholders and drive the transition towards a cleaner and greener future.

The company’s involvement in the Shoonya campaign will not only contribute to but also share its significant developments in the electric vehicle sector. This includes innovations, technology advancements, and sustainable mobility solutions. The objective is to facilitate the rapid growth and adoption of EVs, ultimately reducing pollution and environmental impact. Shoonya, a campaign born out of collaborative efforts with various industry partners, aspires to achieve 100 per cent electrification within urban commercial passenger and freight sectors shortly. It brings together a diverse consortium of stakeholders, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), ride-hailing companies, charging infrastructure providers, e-commerce platforms, financiers, and fleet aggregators. The campaign boasts the support of approximately 200 corporate partners who share a common vision of driving consumer awareness and advocating for a radical shift towards sustainable mobility practices. Shoonya’s comprehensive approach reflects the urgency of addressing environmental concerns and underscores the role of EVs in reducing pollution and carbon emissions.

With the company’s active involvement in the Shoonya campaign, the automotive industry is poised to witness significant advancements in EV technology and infrastructure, reaffirming the commitment to a greener and more sustainable future for India’s transportation landscape.
