Bosch Group has completed a 5 MW solar power plant, which it designed and built for Sri Vinayaga Green Power Generation Pvt Ltd in Tamil Nadu, spread over a 23-acre plot. The solar power plant has been provided with mono-crystalline silicon solar panels and high-efficiency central inverters. This plant is estimated to produce 7.6 million KW-hours, which will be sold to third party power consumers. Shenzhen Coship Electronics Co Ltd has plans to set up a facility to manufacture set-top boxes (STBs) in India, with a capacity of around 0.25 million units per month. Though the company is yet to decide on the location of the manufacturing unit in India, it will employ about 1000 workers in this unit.
