Yet again, solar generation increases while wind decreases.
Down by 9.8% from August 2022, the renewable energy (RE) sources generated 15201.94 MU in September 2022. While wind generation decreased by 27.3%, solar generation increased by 10.6% MoM.
A cumulative RE capacity of 11077.97 MW was installed in India in the first eight months of 2022. In September 2022, about $2.34 billion was invested in the RE sector, by Key investors like Sembcorp Energy India Limited (SEIL), KKR and Hero Group who have agreed to invest $450 million in Hero Future Energies (HFE). Mahindra Group and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board have also signed binding agreements through which Ontario Teachers’ will acquire a 30% equity stake in Mahindra Susten Private Limited at an equity value of INR 2,371 crore (~USD 300 million).
