Solar Occupies 50% of Total RE Installations

The month of May 2022, saw 1791.17MW of solar and wind capacity being installed in India. The cumulative RE capacity is now 113.23GW, adding to the 8228.3MW from January 2022 to May 2022.

Solar and wind capacity of 1115.53 MW and 79 MW respectively were added in Rajasthan only, followed by Tamil Nadu with 193.99 MW and Gujarat (163.32 MW). Gujarat and Karnataka installed the second and third highest wind capacity of 58.5 MW and 40.5 MW respectively.
