Micromax Launches Two New Android Go Smartphones

The smartphones run on Android Oreo Go Edition operating system (OS), ensuring the best software experience to the user on lesser hardware

Domestic handset manufacturer Micromax on Monday announced that it is launching two new Android Go smartphones for the Indian market. The new phones, labelled as Bharat 4 Diwali Edition and Bharat 5 Infinity Edition, are targeted to attract the customers under the Rs 10000 category.

Commenting on the launch of new products, Vikas Jain, Co-Founder, Micromax Informatics Ltd, said that the introduction of not one but two smartphones would provide the consumers with a wide range of options to choose from the Micromax portfolio, depending on the specific needs and requirements of consumers.

He further informed that both the smartphones run on Android Oreo Go Edition operating system (OS). This would ensure the best software experience to the user on lesser hardware.

Key features

The smartphone dubbed as Bharat 4 Diwali Edition comes with a 5-inch display and the device runs on 2000mAh battery. The smartphone is supported by a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be further expanded up to 32GB storage with the help of a slot provided for microSD card. The smartphone comes with a rear camera of 5-megapixel and it has a 2-megapixel for taking selfies.

The Bharat 5 Infinity Edition smartphone launched by Micromax comes with an 18:9 full vision display. The device is supported by a 5000mAh battery for longer use. The smartphone features a 5-megapixel camera on the back side and also 5-megapixel camera facing the front. Runs on Android Oreo Go Edition operating system, the Bharat 5 Infinity Edition is backed by a 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage which can be further enhanced up to 32GB, by a microSD card. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor as well as face unlock for ease of locking and unlocking, and better security.

Price and availability

The new smartphones will be available offline. The devices are priced at Rs 4,249 for Micromax Bharat 4 Diwali Edition and Rs 5,899 for Micromax Bharat 5 Infinity Edition.
