The tracker features multi-point parallel drive technology, a wind speed threshold of 22 m/s, and a 0° stow angle.

Arctech has acquired an additional order for its SkyLine II solar tracking solution in India, increasing the project’s total capacity to 3.4 GW. This expansion makes it the largest project undertaken by Arctech in India.

As the project is located in the desert region along the India-Pakistan border, it endures extreme temperatures over 50°C, high wind speeds, and sandstorms. Arctech has technical expertise in custom solutions in challenging environments. The SkyLine II tracker features advanced multi-point parallel drive technology, a wind speed threshold of 22 m/s, and a 0° stow angle, enhancing power generation while reducing component damage risks during windstorms.

Arctech has implemented a combination of customized tracking systems, bifacial modules, and intelligent cleaning robots, to boost project efficiency. This approach, utilizing high-power bifacial modules and automated cleaning, maximizes component efficiency and overall power station productivity.

In August 2022, Arctech’s first joint venture manufacturing base in India, Jash Energy, began operations. Spanning 16 acres with an annual capacity of 3 GW, the factory produces key components for tracking solutions, supplying various photovoltaic projects across India.

India’s solar market has seen rapid growth, with solar energy comprising about 54% of the country’s total renewable energy capacity as of June 30, 2023. The International Energy Agency’s “World Energy Outlook” report forecasts India to lead in solar installed capacity by 2050.

Having entered the Indian market seven years ago, Arctech has successfully delivered over 7 GW in projects with solutions like SkyLine, SkyLine II, and SkySmartII. In 2023, the company secured multiple projects in India, including the 420 MW Sullur project and the 242 MW Rajasthan project, further establishing its strong presence in the local market. Gail Chen, VP of East Asia and India at Arctech, credits the team for enhancing service quality and efficiency in the Indian market.
