Grayhill Appoints element14 as Authorised Distributor For its Precision Switches

In a recent update, element14 announced that Grayhill designated the company as an authorised distributor for the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Saying that its precision switches are used in a range of human-machine interface (HMI) solutions, the company noted that the new agreement offers element14 customers fast delivery of “high-quality HMI products” for design into OEM systems across these regions. As per the press release, precision medical devices and defence applications, including emergency responder radios, as well as luxury car manufacturers and rugged interfaces for off-road vehicles widely use Grayhill products.

Global Product Segment Leader for Switches at element14, Keith Forbes remarked, “The rise of haptics in the field of touchscreens and many other human interface devices is an area of expertise that runs deep at Grayhill. Their product lines of rotary switches and encoders will enable developers and OEM manufacturers to access and deliver the finest components for their projects on fast lead times from our stock. The addition of the Grayhill range adds even greater depth to our inventory of sought-after components and further reinforces element14 as a service and support leader in these regions.”

element14, an Avnet company and global distributor of electronic components, products and solutions was founded in 1986. It aims to support design engineers by offering a range of products in its comprehensive semiconductor portfolio. It recently associated with Piera to distribute the latter’s particle sensors.
