Though Mahindra and Mahindra’s E3W registrations declined from 3,209 units in August 2023 to 3,028 units in Sep 23, it still is the number one E3W brand in India. Piaggio Vehicles’ registrations increased from 1,919 units in August 2023 to 1,972 on Sep 23.

In a shift in the electric three-wheeler (E3W) sales leaders during September 2023 (Sep 23), Bajaj Auto has climbed the ladder and is now in the third position. The company registered a total of 679 E3W units on Sep 23. In August 2023, it had registered only 224 E3W units.

Another noticeable change in India’s list of top-selling E3W brands, Reliance-backed Altigreen, has slipped to fifth position. Compared to 326 Altigreen E3Ws registered in August 2023, only 288 were registered on Sep 23. Notably, the company is gearing up to enter the Passenger Electric three-wheeler segment in India, and the first one is expected to launch in India this month.

OEM wise E3W sales list (Vahan)

Similarly, Murugappa Group’s subsidiary TI Clean Mobility registered 218 E3Ws on Sep 23, more significant than the 134 E3W units it registered in August 2023.

Atul Auto’s E3W registrations during the month fell to 187 units. The company had registered 233 units in August 2023. Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), maintained its fourth position on the podium with 347 E3W registrations. During August 2023, it had registered 267 units. OSM  recently told us that it is working on launching an E3W that will provide the highest payload capability in the L5 category in the country.

Euler Motor posted a decline as its registrations fell from 245 units in August 2023 to 185 during Sep 23.
