Continental Unveils First Swarovski Crystal-Embedded Car Display

At CES in Las Vegas, Continental and Swarovski Mobility introduced a crystal display for luxury cars featuring floating screen content in a precision-cut crystal body. This advanced microLED technology display, recognized with the CES 2024 Innovation Award, offers exceptional brightness and contrast.

Continental is exhibiting its Crystal Center Display at CES 2024, an automotive display encased in crystal, enhancing car interior design with its transparent, frameless appearance. This 10-inch display utilizes microLED technology for brightness and contrast and appears to float within its crystal structure. Developed with Swarovski Mobility, this product earned the CES Innovation Award for its design. Dr. Boris Mergell of Continental highlights the display’s role in transforming interior design, focusing on a personalized user experience.

The display’s distinctive design, featuring a unique crystal cut by Swarovski Mobility, offers new design possibilities for luxury car interiors. As the central control element, it integrates technology and intuitive interaction, bringing virtual assistance systems to life. The collaboration between Continental and Swarovski Mobility has resulted in a robust crystal housing that’s both transparent and visually striking, enhancing the vehicle’s aesthetic. Peter Widmann of Swarovski Mobility emphasizes the display’s role as an interactive interior element.
