A2Z Drone Delivery, Inc, a developer of commercial drone delivery solutions, recently announced its plans to expand its Ground Zero Test Facility in Anji County outside Shanghai, China. The location has been chosen by the company to allow its development team to test new drone solutions under real-life conditions in diverse topography and environmental conditions. The company aims to continue scaling its deliveries to consumers throughout the surrounding villages.

Notably, the company has been conducting drone deliveries from the Ground Zero Test Facility and believes that the expanded facilities will allow it to further scale the reach of these consumer services.

According to the company, it extended its footprint to Anji County as drone regulations are distinctly advanced from those in operation in the United States. Interestingly, A2Z Drone Delivery noted that it is already conducting beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) operations in the region with the permissions and cooperation of the local government. Further, the delivery solutions company added that it has already been conducting autonomous residential deliveries of medicines, COVID test kits, as well as food orders from local providers.

The released statement noted that A2Z Drone Delivery’s lineup of drone delivery hardware is focused on consumer protection while providing commercial logistics operators with a capable delivery ecosystem. The company believes that by conducting deliveries from altitude, it protects recipients from spinning UAV propellers while mitigating privacy concerns of low-flying drones and abating intrusive rotor noise.

Founder and CEO of A2Z Drone Delivery, Aaron Zhang said, “To truly push the boundaries of autonomous unmanned drone delivery our development team needs to be able to test our latest delivery drone systems under real-life conditions. As the US regulations expand to compete with those in operation around the world, we will be ready to take to the skies with the most cutting-edge systems that have been proven safe, reliable and economical thanks to the testing and delivery missions we are able to do in Anji right now.”

California-based A2Z Drone Delivery boasts of its patented delivery system and aims to develop innovative solutions to enable safe, accurate and low-noise drone deliveries. Focused on last-mile UAV delivery systems, 2016-born A2Z Drone Delivery plans to create UAV delivery platforms capable of pushing drone delivery into the mainstream of logistics operations.
