Valeo and Omega Seiki Partner To Accelerate Two and Three Wheelers Electrification In India

Valeo and Omega Seiki Mobility will further collaborate for the upcoming vehicle models to be manufactured by the company in India

French automotive supplier Valeo has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) through which Valeo will provide electric powertrains for OSM Vehicle Range.

As part of the agreement, Valeo will provide its 48V electric powertrain system (reducer, integrated Motor and Inverter) along with the Powertrain control unit for Omega Seiki Mobility cargo three-wheeler Rage+ and Rage+ Frost. 

Additionally, the company said in a statement that Valeo’s engineers will provide the technology integration support to help Omega Seiki Mobility to swiftly enter the market. 

Valeo and Omega Seiki Mobility will further collaborate for the upcoming vehicle models to be manufactured by the company in India.

The 48V electric powertrain was launched by the company in India in November 2020 to aid affordable electrification for electrified two and three-wheelers. In India, Valeo produces electric powertrains from its manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra.
