EV Sales Leap More Than 200%YoY in July

Reaching 79,720 units, the total EV sales in July 2022 increased 8.8% MoM and more than 200% YoY.

Major EV registrations for the month were driven by E2Vs and passenger-type E3Vs. Together it accounted for 90.69% of total registrations in the month. These were followed by E-Cars (5.58%), cargo-type electric three-wheelers (3.43%), and so on. 

Among all the states and UTs, Uttar Pradesh retained its top spot of EV share with 18% of overall sales, followed by Maharashtra with 12% share. Rajasthan stood at third spot with 8% share, followed by Karnataka (8%), Gujarat (8%), Delhi (7%), and Tamil Nadu (6%).
