Watlow Completes Acquisition of Eurotherm

Watlow will develop Eurotherm’s sites as advanced centres for its electronics and controls products

Watlow, a designer and manufacturer of complete industrial thermal systems, recently announced the acquisition of Eurotherm from Schneider Electric Company, the global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation. Without disclosing the terms of the transaction, the company said that the acquisition has been completed on 31st October.

The statement released by the company pointed out that it will establish Eurotherm’s sites in Worthing, U.K. and Dardilly, France as Advanced Development Centers for its electronics and controls product offering. It plans to invest in Eurotherm’s facility in Poland, in order to build Watlow’s Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Europe. This additional capacity and capability also provide a path to growth in other parts of the world including the Americas and Asia, stated Watlow’s press release.

1922-born Watlow is a global industrial technology company that uses engineering expertise and advanced thermal systems to provide a range of temperature control, power control, heater technologies, and temperature sensing platforms. Watlow has its supply chain spanning 95 countries, with 4,200 members working in 12 manufacturing facilities and five advanced technology and development centres.

UK-headquartered Eurotherm is a leading provider of temperature, power and process control, measurement and data management equipment, systems, software and services for global industrial markets. The company has its core manufacturing operations based in Ledziny, Poland.
