CellRebel Acquired By Ookla

Ookla, the global connectivity intelligence company has recently announced that it has acquired the company CellRebel, an independent company which mainly focuses on helping operators and other telecommunications companies improve and enhance mobile networks worldwide. Together the companies, Ookla and CellRebel aim to bring enhanced network experience to the customers and also relevant insights to the global telecom industry and marketplace.

“The complexity of modern networks demands diversified streams of data to fuel holistic insights on performance, quality, and accessibility,” said Doug Suttles, founder and CEO of Ookla. “It is vital that we understand more about consumer experiences with networks, and CellRebel brings billions of daily data points with innovative analytical views to help fulfil this need worldwide.”

The robust and localised data network and network experience data come along with CellRebel’s data visualisation applications and capabilities to support mobile network performance and optimisation of real-world use cases, with a host of novel applications related to real-world customer experience measurements to Ookla’s current and future portfolio. Ookla’s enterprise solutions usually converge the first-party crowdsourced data and scientifically supervised testing with tools that provide real and actionable insights across a network’s lifecycle and consumer experience. The insights are predicted to help operators, businesses, government agencies, nonprofits, and more to analyse, optimise, and publicise networks around the world.
