Wipro is facing a crisis as several senior executives have quit in just 4 months after TK Kurien took over as CEO in January. At least four executives have quit in the last three months, said people with knowledge of these exits. These executives have quit to join Wipro’s former joint CEO Suresh Vaswani in Dell India while a fourth, I Vijaykumar, has quit to work with a not-for-profit organisation.
Sid Nair, who was the chief sales and operations officer in North America for Wipro, has joined Dell Services to head its global healthcare and life sciences business. He has been with the new company for about two months now.
A Wipro spokesperson said the exits were part of the restructuring process Wipro concluded in the last quarter. Nair, who has worked for over 15 years at Wipro, was part of the company’s corporate executive management team. Others who have left to join Vaswani are Sameer Kishore, president and member of the board at Infocrossing (a company Wipro acquired a few years back) and Raman Sapra, general manager of healthcare business. Sapra has joined Dell Services as an executive director.
