Electronic Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) is affirmative that India iwill soon become self reliant in the electronics field and therefore plans to train more industry oriented professionals.

ESSCI CEO, N. K. Mohapatra is of the opinion that India is importing nearly 65% of electronic goods, which is next to oil and this trend will be reversed once more product development oriented jobs are created, which would make the country a net exporter after 2020.
Mr. Mohapatra declared that focus will be on semi-conductor technology and for this purpose a Centre of Excellence in Electronics has been opened in the college, where student will be skilled in exclusive skills of the electronics.
He also aforementioned that the electronic fields almost occupied all kinds of occupation and needed more qualified personnel to meet the market requirements.
