Digital video recorder

digital_video_recorderIn January 2014, Kabir Electronics launched a third-generation digital video recorder (DVR). The recorder’s one-touch online feature enables easy and reliable surveillance. There is no need for a port forwarding feature in this DVR. Users can remotely play the video with ease, as soon as they connect the DVR to the Internet via a LAN cable. Its other features include a P2P function and USB backup. This DVR supports the Symbian, iPhone, BlackBerry and Android operating systems. It offers recording, playback, remote access, and supports scheduling and motion detection.

Visitor management system

In February 2014, Instatec, part of AV Systems, launched a software ‘visitor management system’. This is a simple, plug and play multi-role system to manage and record details of all visitors coming into a facility such as residential and corporate complexes, educational institutions, factories etc. It offers several features such as online visitors report, online visitors pre-registration, 24 hours online service, real-time criminal verification, multi-lingual, SMS visitor registration, interactive lobby directories and mobile (iOS and android) compatible.
