Analog Devices has launched four-channel digital isolators, branded ADuM347x, with an integrated transformer driver and pulse width modulation (PWM) controller in a single package, which enable isolated DC-to-DC converters to provide up to 2 watts of regulated and isolated power, reduce board space by up to 30 per cent, and simplify the development of systems requiring isolated data and power.
Features and USP: These digital isolators are ideal for applications that require isolated data and isolated power, including data acquisition, industrial process control using Fieldbus, and building controls. It also enables designers to implement isolation in their designs without constraints in cost, size, power, performance, and reliability, normally found with traditional isolation products, such as optocouplers. The range of ADuM347x four-channel digital isolators includes ADuM3470, ADuM3471, ADuM3472, ADuM3473, and ADuM3474 products. All of them provide four independent data isolation channels in various channel configurations with data rates of up to 25 MBps.
