As of January 25, 2024, India is set to deliver ground systems to the Philippines within the next 10 days, with the missiles expected to follow in March.

An Indian delegation is currently in the Philippines to showcase its indigenous military technologies and equipment and explore defence industry collaborations that would enhance Manila’s defence modernisation efforts. At a defence industry seminar organised by the Indian Embassy in Makati City, Philippines, on Friday, 18 Indian companies presented a range of defence items, including aircraft, drones, helicopters, and artificial intelligence-based technologies.

The delegation comprises representatives from various Indian companies, including DCM Shriram Industries Ltd, Bharat Dynamics Limited, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring FZ LLC, MKU Limited, and Adani Defence Systems and Technologies Limited.

As of January 25, 2024, India is set to deliver ground systems to the Philippines within the next 10 days, with the missiles expected to follow in March. The initial components of the order were scheduled for delivery by the end of December 2023 but were delayed due to strong monsoons.

India is committed to assisting the Philippines in enhancing its defence capabilities and has offered a Line of Credit (LoC) to support Manila’s defence modernisation initiatives. This effort to strengthen defence ties between India and the Philippines marks a significant step toward mutual cooperation and security enhancement.

The BrahMos missiles are a Russian-Indian supersonic ground-based system, capable of reaching a maximum speed of Mach 3, with a flight ceiling of 15 km (49,000 ft) and a flight altitude of sea-skimming.
