Infineon And Delta Electronics Forge Partnership On Electromobility

Partners signed an MoU to innovate for EVs; agreed to set up a joint innovation lab for automotive applications

Leading automotive semiconductors player, Infineon Technologies AG and Taiwan-based power and energy management company, Delta Electronics, Inc. recently announced that they are expanding their long-term cooperation from industrial to automotive applications. In this regard, both companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen their joint innovation activities aimed at providing more efficient and higher-density solutions for the fast-growing market of electric vehicles (EVs). As per the official note, the agreement covers a wide range of components such as high-voltage and low-voltage discrete and modules as well as microcontrollers to be used in EV drivetrain applications such as traction inverters, DC-DC converters and on-board chargers.

It is interesting to note that a joint innovation lab for automotive applications, named the Delta-Infineon Automotive Innovation Center, will be set up in Pingzhen, Taiwan in the second half of 2023 and co-managed by both companies.
