Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Launched in India

Projected as Xiaomi’s first quad-camera smartphone in India, Redmi Note 6 Pro is available in two variants priced at 13,999 and Rs 15,999 respectively

Xiaomi has announced the launch of Redmi Note 6 Pro smartphone in India. Successor to Redmi Note 5 Pro, the latest smartphone from Redmi is available in 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, and 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage variants.

A tweet made through the Redmi official Twitter handle read, “The Redmi Note 6 Pro is here to set new benchmarks in low-light photography and all-round performance. Xiaomi India’s first 4 camera set up.”

Other tweets made through the handle are trying to project Redmi 6 Pro as a camera specialist smartphone. In fact as part of marketing strategy, Redmi has tweeted photos of several Indian celebrities including Sonakshi Sinha, Kriti Bharbanda, Elli Avrram and Disha Patani holding the Redmi Note 6 Pro smartphones.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features

Both the variants of Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro come equipped with a 6.26-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display that offers 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution. The display comes in 19:9 aspect ratio and supports 500 nits as maximum brightness, and 86 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 1.8GHz octa-core processor with Adreno 509 GPU.

Users can expand Redmi Note 6 Pro by up to 128GB using a microSD card. The latest Redmi smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 and the phone is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support. It supports face unlock feature and has a fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with four cameras, two on the rear and two in the front. The dual rear camera setup consists of a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor with dual Pixel auto-focus and f/1.9 aperture, and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor for depth sensing. The dual front cameras include a primary 20-megapixel camera and a secondary 2-megapixel depth sensor. Xiaomi had equipped the Redmi Note 6 Pro with a 4,000 mAH battery.

Connectivity features of Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS, A-GLONASS, micro-USB 2.0 port and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 157.9 x 76.38 x 8.2 mm.

The phone will be available at lowered prices during the Black Friday Sales. Another tweet through official Redmi handle read, “Get it (Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro) at Rs 12,999 only for tomorrow in the Black Friday Sale at 12 PM on Mi Website, Mi Home and Flipkart.”
