Infinity hackathon

The Infinity hackathon was designed to challenge students to come out with innovative ideas to solve the problems facing the society and industry. They were assigned six unique business problems across the banking, insurance, manufacturing, energy and auto domains. Students were given three months starting October’18 to submit their ideas.

One team came up with a blockchain-based microgrid infrastructure to provide electricity in rural areas using solar energy, enabling local communities to become self-sufficient prosumers, and creating a new revenue stream for them.

Another innovation involved designing a bank for the millennials using new age digital transformation technologies such as AI and mobility.

One innovative model was on large FMCG companies building a mutually beneficial digital ecosystem of their suppliers, distributors and end customers for greater efficiency, agility and loyalty.

With the immense success witnessed during the inaugural edition of Infinity, LTI now plans to make it an annual affair.

Nachiket Deshpande, Chief Operating Office, LTI said, “We are pleased with the response received from such talented students and are confident that in the years to come, Infinity will serve as a much sought-after platform for the academia community.”
