ASUS Launches New VivoBook Laptops in India

The latest devices are the first in the VivoBook series of ASUS that feature three-sided NanoEdge design and has thinner bezels along the sides and top of the display

ASUS, computer and phone hardware and electronics company based in Taiwan, launched a new series of lightweight Windows 10 laptops – ASUS VivoBook S15 (S530) and Asus VivoBook S14 (S430) in India.

The latest devices are the first in the VivoBook series of ASUS that feature three-sided NanoEdge design and has thinner bezels along the sides and top of the display.

“This gives S14 an 84% and S15 an 86% screen-to-body ratio. This provides an immersive experience to the user in a compact package. The panels of the laptop feature wide-view technology and colour reproduction for excellent visuals even viewing from extreme positions,” ASUS said in a statement.

“The new devices are compact and can easily be carried into a laptop or travel bag or backpack,” it added.

Key features

The Vivobook S14 notebook features a 14-inch IPS display and narrower bezels with wide-view technology. The device is powered by 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor or NVIDIA GeForce MX150 2 GB GPU, having RAM of 8 GB and 256 GB of SSD along with 1 TB HDD.

The Vivobook S14 is also available with the option of 8th Gen Core i3 or Core i7 processor. The device comes with a standard set of ports, such as a full-size HDMI, USB type-A, USB type C, a slot for SD card and 3.5 mm headphone jack. The ASUS notebook is equipped with a full-sized QWERTY keypad having backlit lighting.

The other device launched by ASUS, Vivobook S15, features a 15-inch IPS display with narrower bezels on all the four sides of the device. The notebook comes with the option of Core i5 8th Gen Intel processor or Core i7 processor. The device is incorporated with 16 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD with 1 TB HDD. The notebook is equipped with a fingerprint reader. The connectivity options include three full-sized USB type-A, USB type-C, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a full-sized HDMI port. The laptop is engineered with a 2W speaker with SonicMaster Technology of ASUS.
