Xiaomi officials are currently identifying potential categories, including air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, laptops, and small appliances such as vacuum cleaners and water purifiers in the Indian market. All products will be based on Internet of Things (IoT) smart devices, or can be connected to the Internet and other devices and operated remotely, four senior industry executives aware of the development informed Economic Times.

Goals for next year
The goal of home appliance companies is to open up new growth paths in the Indian market, with a year-on-year increase of more than 100 per cent. Xiaomi also intends to expand its smart TV lineup in the country next year by upgrading its product portfolio and expanding its product range.
