As part of the deal, the company’s arm WIN Automation Solutions will use Rockwell Automation’s products and solutions to create automation solutions for industries.

Pratik Kumar, CEO of WIN, has said the company is aiming to achieve $100 million in next five years in industrial automation revenue.

ET quoted Kumar as saying: “We are pretty much at the start of our journey for WIN Automation solutions…As a directional number, we think $100 million in the next five years is something which is doable. It could be a combination of organic and inorganic.”

“Partnering with Rockwell Automation is an important milestone and it further strengthens the company’s proposition of being a leading system integrator in industrial automation business,” he added.

The company is looking to tap the industrial automation opportunities which include services such as effective recall of vehicles using right insights for the automotive sector; improving operational efficiencies through better use of assets; early detection of defects in products.

Indian industrial automation market

In May this year, WIN established an industrial automation unit in India to gain a large share of the country’s manufacturing automation market.

The Indian industrial automation market for manufacturing is estimated to worth nearly $2 billion, out of which opportunity for third-party system integrators such as Wipro and others is worth nearly $400 million.

Dilip Sawhney, MD, India of Rockwell Automation, is hoping that this “solutions-oriented partnership” would help the company to penetrate deeper into the Indian market.

WIN Automation Solutions is an initiative of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN), which caters to the full-service line of Industrial Automation needs of Indian & ASEAN manufacturing industries.

The company provides end-to-end Industrial Automation Solutions to discrete manufacturing businesses enabling them to be automated, digitized & smart.
