Saturday, September 07, 2013: Visteon Corporation, electronics and interior systems vendor is developing products keeping in mind the future industry trends. While showcasing the concept car, e-Bee for 2020, Subu Nagasubramony, managing director said, “The automotive industry is changing dramatically world wide. The entry of electric vehicles, strict emission norms will bring in fuel efficient technologies,” News Track India reported.
Nagasubramony said that though there is a rise in electronic systems in the vehicles, the revenue mix will not change. Hence, the contribution of climate systems would continue to be around 50 per cent and the rest 50 per cent contribution will be from electronics and interiors in equal proportion.
Nagasubramony opines that the slump in the Indian automotive market and the devaluation of rupee did not have large impact on the operations of Visteon in India since the problems are temporary in nature.
HVCC is launching new climate control products in the markets in India such as rotary suction valve compressor, exhaust gas recirculation coolers, slim heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, which are light-weight and cost effective for automobile manufacturers and is fuel efficient.
Apart from this, the company has come up with a new infotainment system that provides multi-device connectivity and management of content.
