The latest in capacitors and resistors

Wednesday, August 14, 2013: A variety of capacitors are available in the market like film capacitors, ceramic capacitors, electrolytic capacitors, aluminium electrolytic capacitors and tantalum electrolytic capacitors, and a new range of surface mountable, multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCC). There are also many different types of resistors available like carbon composition resistors, film or cermet resistors, wire-wound resistors and semiconductor resistors, of which chip resistors, are picking up in demand. In this section, we feature the new launches in resistors and capacitors. However, companies like Cooper Industries, Bourns, On Chip, Panasonic Electronic Devices Company Ltd, Samsung Electro-Mechanical, Yageo Corporation, Filcon Electronics, and Stead Electronics have not launched any resistors or capacitors in the last six months.

Launched in June 2013, these surface-mount chip capacitors provide excellent capacitance and ultra-low ESR in a compact case size.
