According to the India Solar Map 2014 which was released by ‘Bridge To India’ during 2013-14, Tata Power Solar appeared as to be the largest third-party EPC player and domestic manufacturer of crystalline PV modules in India.
Dr. Tobias Engelmeier, founder and director for ‘Bridge To India’ mentioned that India Solar Map is a detailed comprehensible analysis of the market shares of India’s solar players. He mentioned that over the last twelve months, Tata Power Solar has been marked as the most successful company in implementing third party EPC contracts in India.
The ranking of Tata Power Solar was #1 for 2014 and #3 for cumulative third-party EPC making an immense improvement from #9 rank for cumulative third party in 2013 making Tata Power Solar as fastest growing third-party solar EPC players in the country. Tata Power Solar is only manufacturer among the top 10 suppliers of Indian market with its module ranked at tier 1 in Bankability by GTM Research and certified by Potential Induced Degradation (PID).
The company has contributed many prestigious EPC projects 50 MW for NTPC and commissioning of a 2 MW project for South India’s largest rooftop solar plant. They have recently got the order to supply domestically manufactured solar panels, under DCR, to L N Bangur group and ACME Solar.
