STMicroelectronics, Virscient Partner for Telemaco3P Automotive Application Processors

By working with Virscient, STMicroelectronics makes Telemaco3P platform accessible to a broader range of innovative companies

STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor leader, announced that it has collaborated with Virscient, a leading provider of hardware and software development services and support for clients developing automotive solutions by using ST’s Telemaco3P secure telematics and connectivity processors.

Virscient provides support to the customers in ST in building and delivery of advanced automotive applications that are based on ST Modular Telematics Platform (MTP).

Equipped with ST’s Telemaco3P telematics and connectivity microprocessor, MTP is a comprehensive demonstration and development platform. The platform allows rapid prototyping and development of smart-driving applications, such as vehicle connectivity to back-end servers, infrastructure of road and other vehicles.

Enhancing accessibility

Commenting on the partnership, Philippe Prats, Head of EMEA Marketing and Application for STMicroelectronics’ Automotive and Discrete products, said, “We chose to collaborate with Virscient for Telemaco3P-based designs because of their differentiated expertise in the development of embedded systems and wireless technologies, and their proven track record of helping customers take connected products from concept to market.”

“The Telemaco3P platform enables our customers to deliver new categories and products in automotive telematics. By working with Virscient, we make this exciting technology accessible to a broader range of innovative companies,” he added.

Quicker delivery to customers

Virscient has expertise in wireless connectivity technologies and protocols that are suitable for designing connected-car systems that depend on technologies such as GNSS (Precise Positioning), Wi‑Fi, V2X technologies, LTE/cellular modems, Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy.
