Sony Launches New Handheld Camcorder in India

Sony, with its new camcorder, is entering the growing segment of multimedia creation that requires a high-quality image for any occasion

Sony India has launched HXR-NX200, a new camcorder in its NXCAM handheld series to cater to professional videographers and content creators. The new product claims to be a cost-effective one that provides a 4K quality image. Priced at Rs. 1, 60,000, the camcorder is available across photo and video stores in India.

The consumer electronics major is eyeing to tap into the growing segment of videographers and multimedia creators, especially in the wedding photography business.

HD quality

The HXR-NX200 camcorder offers the flexibility of shooting in 4K and cutting out in HD during post-production. It is capable of capturing 4K high-resolution images with its 1.0-type Exmor R CMOS image sensor of 14.2 megapixels. It also enables the user to stream live events in HD format on pairing up with MCX-500 multi-camera live producer and the RM-30BP remote commander.

Colour

The Sony camcorder claims to offer true colours and natural skin tones regardless of the exposure which can be handy in the coverage of live events, weddings and other occasions.

Lens

Sony has equipped the camcorder with a 29mm wide three angle G Lens with independent manual lens rings. The focus and zoom can be adjusted manually. It has a 12x optical zoom with the By Pixel Super Resolution Technology, Clear Image Zoom at 24x in HD and 18x in 4K. The camcorder also has a built-in 4 Step ND Filters that allow recording quality content.

The HXR-NX200 camcorder has dual media slots that allow an extended recording time.
